Office of Research Compliance and Security will provide information focusing on export control laws and recent updates. This session is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the regulations governing the export of goods, technology, and information from the United States.  

Key Topics Include:

1.    Overview of Export Control Laws: Understand the fundamental principles of export controls, including the regulations enforced by the Department of Commerce, State, and Treasury.
2.    Recent Updates and New Compliance Clauses: Learn about the latest amendments to export control laws, including new clauses that have been incorporated to ensure compliance with evolving international standards.
3.    Training and Refresher for Compliance: This session will serve as both an introduction to those new to export controls and a valuable refresher for seasoned professionals. Attendees will gain insights into practical strategies for identifying export-controlled items and navigating compliance challenges effectively.
